We’re thrilled to share the latest updates from our growing factory in Norwood! Recently, the Stanly County Economic Development Commission (EDC) had the pleasure of touring our facility, and we’re honored to showcase our expansion and achievements.
New Finish is proud to be a Class A commercial coating business specializing in a variety of coating services, including powder coating, electrocoating, liquid coating, chemical agent resisting, and sandblasting. Our commitment to quality and innovation has fueled our growth, and we’re thrilled to continue expanding.
In 2020, we embarked on a significant expansion initiative, resulting in the creation of 20 new jobs and an investment of $3.5 million in real property, machinery, and equipment. Today, our facility operates two production lines, running two eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday, to meet the growing demand for our services.
During the tour, our esteemed owners, Steve and Brenda Bradley, led the EDC board of directors, along with EDC Director Candice Lowder and her team, through our state-of-the-art facility. We were delighted to welcome members of the community and showcase the hard work and dedication of our team.
In addition to celebrating our growth, we took a moment to honor outgoing chairperson and board member Cindy Beane for her exceptional service and leadership. With 18 years of dedicated service on the board, including five years as chairperson, Cindy’s contributions have been invaluable. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Cindy for her tireless efforts in advancing the economic development of Stanly County.
As a token of our appreciation, EDC Director Candice Lowder presented Cindy with a plaque, expressing our admiration and gratitude for her friendship and leadership. Cindy, we will miss you dearly, and we’re immensely grateful for your years of service and dedication.
Furthermore, we’re thrilled to announce that our new building, completed in 2023, has received significant support from the state through a $120,000 building reuse grant awarded by the Rural Infrastructure Authority. Additionally, we’ve received a local tax-based grant, reflecting our commitment to the community and our contribution to economic growth.
At New Finish, we’re excited about the future and remain dedicated to serving our customers, supporting our community, and driving innovation in the coating industry. Thank you to everyone who has been part of our journey, and we look forward to continued growth and success together!
